Springdale Bike Trail

Last Saturday 250 volunteers from Toquerville, La Verkin, Virgin, Rockville and Springdale constructed 1.6 miles of natural surface single track trail on the town’s property near the cemetery. The trail is now open and ready to be enjoyed. The trailhead is at the Jolley-Gifford Cemetery at the end of Paradise Road.

As you enjoy the trail please remember a few important items. The Town will be installing signage at the trail head with the following reminders:

  • The trail is entirely within Desert Tortoise habitat. If you see a tortoise leave it alone. It is supposed to be there. It lives there. Also, keep dogs on leashes so they don’t go after tortoises.
  • Please stay on the trail. This will preserve tortoise habitat and will keep the trail in good condition.
  • Be respectful of private property. There are several sections of the trail that come near private property.  Please respect the privacy of property owners by staying on the trail and avoiding making loud noises near private properties.
  • The trail is open to hikers, walkers, joggers, sashayers, mountain bikers and other non-motorized forms of travel. Please be respectful of other trail users.
