2012 Zion Joy Winter Festival

Winter is right around the corner which means ski season for many Utah destinations but here in Springdale and Zion Canyon, it is truly one of the best times of year to come and visit!

Average daytime temperatures December through February are in the mid to upper 50’s in the day, even in the 60’s quite often, and the upper 20’s to low 30’s at night which is really quite enjoyable for hiking and biking.

Another great perk for visitors this time of year are much lower crowds in Zion National Park as well as other surrounding parks like Bryce Canyon National Park.

So, on top of those great reasons with regards to weather and crowds, we will be celebrating the third annual Zion Joy Winter Festival. The Zion Joy Winter Festival begins right after Thanksgiving and runs through the month of December with all kinds of different events and activities and is capped off with an amazing firework show on New Year’s Eve at the town park and set against the majestic towering West Temple.
